Immunizations

Michigan law requires all students to have a current certificate of immunization on file — or a signed waiver — prior to attending school. Clarenceville School District collects and maintains immunization records to help keep our school community healthy and to comply with state reporting requirements.

When Immunization Records Are Required

Immunization records must be on file for:

  • All new enrollees — Any student enrolling in Clarenceville School District for the first time must provide a current certificate of immunization or a signed waiver prior to the first day of attendance.

If your child's immunization records are not current or on file, please contact your building's main office as soon as possible.

Waivers

If your child has not received all required immunizations, a waiver must be on file in place of an immunization certificate.

  • Medical waivers must be obtained from a licensed physician or health care provider and submitted to your building's main office.
  • Non-medical waivers (including religious or philosophical objections) must be obtained from your local Michigan Health Department office — they cannot be issued by the school.
