Safe Firearm Storage
Michigan law requires all school districts to provide families with information about the safe storage of firearms. In compliance with Public Act 17 of 2023 and the Safe Homes, Safe Schools Law (HB 5450/5451), Clarenceville School District distributes this information annually each October.
Safely storing firearms protects children at home, in vehicles, and in any location where a minor may be present.

Standard Response Protocol (SRP)
Clarenceville School District uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) — a consistent, clear system for responding to emergencies in and around our schools. Understanding the SRP helps families know what to expect and how to support their children during a school emergency.

Immunizations
Michigan law requires all students to have a current certificate of immunization on file, or a signed waiver, prior to attending school. Required immunization records are collected at enrollment for all new enrollees.
Waivers:
- Medical waivers must be obtained from a licensed physician or health care provider.
- Non-medical waivers must be obtained from a local Michigan Health Department office.
For questions about your child's immunization records, contact your building's main office.
