Dear Botsford families,

It is with great pleasure and pride that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed principal of Botsford Elementary.  I am honored to lead a school that has shown such a commitment to the Clarenceville community.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for over 23 years.  Most recently, my administrative experience has been in the Port Huron Schools. In this position the staff, students, and parents came together to create a learning environment that inspired our students to lead, find their voice, and give back to the community. I hope to continue this legacy with the Botsford community. It is already clear the level of devotion and passion the Botsford staff have for our children.

I recently remarried and between my husband and I we have six children 13-29 years of age. When I can find the time I like to be outdoors particularly hiking and bike riding. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I look forward to getting to know the families and students here at Botsford.

I am elated to have this opportunity to bring my skills as an instructional leader to the Botsford community as a partner in education. As parents and educators we strive to provide pathways to success for our children. My belief is that all children have talents and strengths. It is our job as educators to help students discover those skills within themselves. We are challenged to help our children learn and grow around academic experiences that are rigorous and relevant.

I look forward to personally meeting every one of you. My door is always open. Please feel free to stop in, call or email me. I value your input and would love to hear about your goals for Botsford and your child. Together we can create a learning environment that inspires our students to find the greatness in themselves.
