Dear Clarenceville High School community,

I am proud to be the Principal of Clarenceville High School, home of Trojan Pride!

I have taught in the Clarenceville School District since 1994, teaching music in all 4 buildings, serving as Assistant Principal at Clarenceville High School for seven years, and now as High School Principal.

After earning my Bachelors degree in Music Education from Luther College, I taught in Iowa for two years, then moved to Michigan and began my career in Clarenceville. During my tenure in Clarenceville, I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership from Oakland University.
When I'm not at Clarenceville, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Kari, and my three children, Haley, Hannah, and Ryan. As a family, we have fun spending time together hiking, camping, kayaking and laughing, as well as enjoying musicals and Tigers baseball games. I also enjoy cheering on my Iowa Hawkeyes, Detroit Tigers, and reading.

During my career at Clarenceville, my focus on what is best for students has remained the same. High expectations for all with proper support, building relationships and establishing a positive school climate will lead us to success at Clarenceville.

I look forward to meeting you and partnering with you for student success!

It is a great day to be a Clarenceville Trojan!

Troy Nelson, Principal
