Welcome to Mr. Kantor's Profile Page!

Mr. Kantor began his career in education in 1994.  For the 15 years prior to his becoming an administrator, he taught English and math and was named Teacher of the Year in 2003, and he has been the assistant principal at Clarenceville High School since 2014.

Mr. Kantor earned his Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Michigan, and after securing a full-time teaching position, he earned his Masters Degree in K-12 Education Administration from Michigan State University by going to school at night, on the weekends, and during the summer.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Kantor has experienced considerable success in many different areas, including school improvement, facilitating a positive teaching and learning culture, credit recovery, analyzing and using data, and educating at-risk students.

As Assistant Principal of Clarenceville High School, Mr. Kantor is in charge of managing the daily activities of the building to ensure a safe teaching and learning environment for the staff and students. He is extremely passionate about building positive relationships with everyone with whom he works, including the staff, students, and community members.

Mr. Kantor married his wife, Becky, in 2001, and they have two children-- Vanessa and Isaac.  In addition to spending time with his family, Mr. Kantor enjoys anything having to do with sports, listening to music, playing drums, traveling, and reading.

Mr. Kantor is honored and humbled to be serving the Clarenceville community. His ultimate goal is to ensure that Clarenceville High School is a premiere place for children to receive an outstanding education and to acquire the skills that will serve them well in whatever arena they choose after high school.
